Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was not kidding earlier this week when he said his Thanksgiving meal would be Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC). The NFL star's best friend, Aric Jones, posted a picture of their food via Instagram on Thursday.
Kelce, 34, started a trend because several fans shared photos of their KFC meals on Thanksgiving in solidarity with the Chiefs tight end. The hashtag "KFCwithTravis" was trending on X (Twitter).
KFC responded to Kelce via X by referencing a Taylor Swift song. The popstar and two-time Super Bowl champion will not be spending their first Thanksgiving as a couple together.
"You belong with us," tweeted the official KFC account on X.
Travis Kelce not feeling well
Kelce revealed he would be eating KFC during the latest episode of his "New Heights" podcast with older brother Jason, the center of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Jason defeated his younger sibling for the first time ever on Monday Night Football and Travis had a red zone fumble.
Travis was beating himself up throughout the entire podcast and likely still moping during the holidays despite Jason telling him to take a short trip to eat with his family. But KFC it is for the Chiefs tight end.
