The LSU women's basketball team is currently going through some heavy drama as star Angel Reese is not currently playing with the team. There have been rumors about her grades being the reason for that but she has vehemently denied any of those allegations. On Friday, Reese missed the game against Niagara at the Cayman Islands Classic basketball tournament. This constitutes her third overall absence from Lady Tigers basketball this season due to all the drama surrounding her case. Accoding to new information, Reese didn't travel with the team for LSU's game against Virginia on Saturday. Which would be her fourth straight absence from the game.
What caused these decisions from LSU on Reese?
Since the rumors of her struggling with grades started, Reese has been confrontational against anybody who comes after her. She even posted a video with a Deion Sanders' voice over and his famous 'What about me would make you think that I care about your opinion of me?' quote. Nobody is giving the press any answers and Friday's decision to leave Reese out of the Saturday's gam is only aggravating the situation. Coach Kim Mulkey refused to answer any questions about Reese on Friday. She didn't even confirm whether Reese would go back to spending more time with her teammates in the Caymans.
Outkick recently reported that Reese's grades weren't the reason she was being benched, they alluded to an attitude adjustment that also led to an onine confrontation between Reese's mother and LSU guard Flau'jae Johnson's mother. The coach also alluded to locker room problems but was also confrontational with the press, refusing to answer questions about ay details on Reese. She even told one of the reporters they were not entitled to having that information, what ever that means.
